Contract School Psychology Services
School psychologist vacancies leave evaluations unfinished and timelines at risk. Contracting adds qualified capacity without adding a permanent position — for a defined caseload, a specific backlog, or coverage while a role is vacant.
Services provided under contract
Initial Evaluations & Re-Evaluations
Comprehensive psychoeducational initial evaluations and re-evaluations (completed virtually), including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and adaptive functioning. For re-evaluations, review of existing data and determination of additional assessment needs are part of this process.
Eligibility Determination
Virtual participation in multi-disciplinary team (MET) and eligibility meetings, with findings presented clearly to teams and families.
IEP Team Participation
Attendance and contribution as the school psychologist team member in IEP meetings (virtually), including interpretation of evaluation data and input regarding goals and services.
Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Completion of FBAs and provision of support developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on FBA data.
Consultation & Collaboration
Consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators (e.g., mental health awareness/interventions, positive behavior supports, etc.), and support for MTSS and pre-referral intervention decisions.
Backlog Resolution
Focus on completing accumulated evaluations and bringing overdue timelines back into compliance.
Staff Training
Professional development for teams on special education guidance (e.g., IEPs & 504 plans, evaluation practice & eligibility criteria), trauma-informed practices, mental health awareness, executive functioning, and behavior management strategies.
Flexible Solutions
Work can be structured per evaluation, by scheduled days, as ongoing caseload coverage, or as a fixed-scope project to clear a backlog — whichever matches your school district's need.
As a contracted provider, there is no permanent position to fund, no benefits overhead, and no obligation beyond the term you agree to.
Conflict of Interest— stated plainly
School Psychology & Advocacy Services also provides special education advocacy services to families. Those two roles are kept strictly separate: advocacy is never provided within a public education agency this provider holds a contract with, and work performed under a district contract is never used to develop an advocacy matter.
Contracted evaluations are conducted by School Psychology & Advocacy Services as a member of the public educational agency's team, applying the same criteria any team member applies. If a family requests advocacy involving an agency under contract here, that request is declined and referred elsewhere.
